Note from Mark Thank you to everyone who participated in so much good over the last month. The month began with the Soul Care Conference and finished with Global Encounters. The stories of transformation and the connections made with Tony Roos were great. God is on the move at Neighborhood Church and as we look forward to Easter and the Farmers Market, there is much to invest in and celebrate. MINISTRIESNeighborhood Kids Leader: Karin Sauder, [email protected] A safe place for children to meet Jesus, know Jesus & learn to share Jesus. As the weather gets warmer Neighborhood Kids start getting geared up for our Spring activities! Starting it off this month we had our Global Encounters Weekend, where the kids participated in our Feast of Nations International Potluck, followed by our Kids Mission Program led by Miss Bonnie! Then on Sunday we had an International Parade complete with International outfits, and flags from different countries. It was a wonderful celebration of what God is doing around the world! The theme we studied this month was Forgiveness, and treating others the way you want to be treated yourself. Our memory verse was Colossians 3:13. Welcome to all the new Neighborhood Kids who joined us this month! Neighborhood Youth Leader: Tim Allen, [email protected] A place for teens to meet Jesus, know Jesus & be encouraged to share Jesus. For the month of March, Neighborhood Youth finished out their series titled, “Questions”, where students wrote down questions they had about their faith, God, the Bible and many more. This was a great series that produced some pretty excellent questions from our students. We then started our series on the Characteristics of God looking through the passage from Exodus 34:6. In this series we are taking a look at 5 different characteristics of God and seeing how God has created us with these same characteristics. Thank you for all of your continued prayer as God is at work in the lives of our students! Worship & Production Team Leader: Mel Neely, [email protected] We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus Christ, empowered by His Spirit with one heart and one mind to invite and lead in declaring His worth. We will worship God as a way of life. (Colossians 3:17) The Neighborhood Church Worship & Production team continues to lift high the name of Jesus through our in person and online services. This month Mel Neely, Tim Allen, Adaora, and Joseph Villacis led worship along with our dedicated team of instrumentalists and vocalists. On Thursday evenings the team engaged with devotionals reinforcing our series on The Great Community. These times were led by Eric Peacock, Holly Mullen & Mel. We shared praises and prayer requests, praying for each other and over Neighborhood Church. We also had fun stuffing eggs for the Spring Carnival. A shout out to Tim Allen for leading the morning worship sessions at the Soul Care Conference, March 2nd to 4th and to Donna and Richard Brown who led the regathering song with Mel after the lunch breaks. Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes! Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD! Praise the LORD! Psalm 150: 4-6 Our Worship & Production team continues to thrive under the leadership of Jeff Geraci. We are thankful to have a truly multigenerational team with middle school, high school and adult volunteers working together to make our Sunday services in person and online possible. BECAUSE of God’s faithfulness, our Worship Team is living on mission as a multi-ethnic, multigenerational team being transformed by Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit and inviting the Neighborhood Church family to be launched on mission with them! Neighborhood Groups Leader: Mark Trinkl, [email protected] Our primary venue for making friends, inviting God's transformation through Scripture and prayer, and living on mission together. At the end of March our Neighborhood Groups finished for the semester. We heard stories of friendships growing, people taking steps forward with Jesus, care being provided and so much more. While you wait, we will have events designed for the whole church to be a part of to continue to create community. Make sure you are signed up for the newsletter.
