VITAL TO WHO WE ARE BECOMING
& WHERE WE ARE GOING AS A CHURCH
|
Neighborhood Groups are our primary venue for making friends, inviting God's transformation through Scripture and prayer, and living on mission together to make a difference in the world. Our adult Neighborhood Groups are semester based, and meet regularly. Two to three times a year we share a group menu with all the options for the coming semester. We will help you find a group that is the best match for where you are on your spiritual journey, as well as for your schedule. |

Group 4: Spiritual Refresh - GROUP CLOSED
Co-ed group lead by Matt Sale & Mark Neely, hosted by the Neely’s at their home in Derwood
Sundays, 2pm-3:30pm
Children welcome.
The New Year has arrived! Are you feeling refreshed and rested or has the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year grind left you exhausted and tired? Is your outward life full of overflowing schedules, packed calendars and the need to do more, while your inward life feels dry and barren? Are your priorities focused on doing for Jesus at the cost of being with Jesus? Join us for our study on the inner life from Right Now Media. Over the next 8 weeks we will explore the rhythms of Jesus’ life and His balance between being and doing. This is a very practical study with each week focused on a different spiritual practice and principle. We encourage members to be open and willing to apply each practice between the meetings and share their experiences.
Group 5: The Book of Job
Co-ed group led by Pam & Evan Homan, hosted by Wendy Geraci at Neighborhood Church
Sundays after church, 12pm-1:30pm
Includes lunch. Children welcome.
The world teaches us to revolve our actions, thoughts, and beliefs around ourselves. “It’s all about you!” we are encouraged to think. In the world’s philosophy, we become the author and hero of our story. But the Bible teaches a different view, one where another hero—the actual Author of life—takes center stage. In the book of Job, God asserts his preeminence and displays his power. Join Francis Chan in this eight-session series on Job as he explores the overriding truth that we exist not for ourselves but to glorify the God who deserves all worship and praise.
Group 6: The Sermon on the Mount
Co-ed group led by Tim Beal, hosted by Grant & Chelita Bubb at their home near the church (people can drive or carpool over)
Sundays after church, 12:15pm-1:45pm
Includes a light lunch. Children welcome.
What does it mean to seek first the kingdom of God in life? According to John Stott, Jesus' Sermon on the Mount describes what human life and human community look like when they come under the gracious rule of God—different! Matthew 6:8 reads: "Do not be like them" (the people around them). Study more about the greatest sermon ever preached in this LifeGuide Bible Study.
