NOTE FROM MARK 1Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. 2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. 3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 4 He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. 5 He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! Psalm 103:1-5 Oh, how easy it is to forget all the good God has done! Taking time to reflect, remember, and praise God for the moments and seasons of His faithful provision is a healthy spiritual practice which brings us back to God. So I ask you, what do you need to praise God for? Then take a moment to praise the Lord with all your heart, all that you are! Never forget what God has done for you. MINISTRIES NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS Leader: Karin Sauder, [email protected] A safe place for children to meet Jesus, know Jesus & learn to share Jesus. Neighborhood Kids continues to have a great summer. This month we continued learning the Books of the Bible in Big Kids and the Fruits of the Spirit in Little Kids. We can’t wait to show you our projects at the end of the summer. We also had another kids’ tent at the Farmers Market, where we met more friends and neighbors from our community and made some great connections. It was so great to see so many Neighborhood Kids and families at the summer socials we have had, and we are excited about the next one. And finally, we are absolutely thrilled to share that Jean Carlos Zendaya, one of our 5th graders, said his first “yes” to Jesus this month! We are looking forward to his Light Box Ceremony and celebrating with our whole church family! NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTH Leader: Tim Allen, [email protected] A place for teens to meet Jesus, know Jesus & be encouraged to share Jesus. Neighborhood Youth spent the month doing fun summer activities, taking time to bond & grow closer together. The youth are currently on an August break, but we’re excited for our fall kick off! WORSHIP & PRODUCTION TEAM Leader: Mel Neely, [email protected] We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus Christ, empowered by His Spirit with one heart and one mind to invite and lead in declaring His worth. The Neighborhood Church Worship & Production team continues to lift high the name of Jesus through our in person and online services. This month, Mel Neely and Adaora led worship during our Sunday services along with our dedicated team of instrumentalists and vocalists. This month we introduced two new to Neighborhood Church worship songs: “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” https://youtu.be/fQmpf1e7Ov0 “Jesus Does” https://youtu.be/baz5tuV7X2Q On Thursday evenings the team engaged with devotionals reinforcing our Nehemiah series, introducing the new song, “Jesus Does” and we got to be blessed by hearing Laura’s Jesus story. These times were led by Eric, Laura, Donna and Mel. We shared praises and prayer requests, praying for each other and over Neighborhood Church. Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes! Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD ! Praise the LORD ! Psalm 150: 4-6 Our Worship & Production team continues to thrive under the leadership of Jeff Geraci. We are thankful to have a truly multigenerational team with middle school, high school and adult volunteers working together to make our Sunday services in person and online possible. We continue to implement what we learned about mixing at our May training and began implementing click tracks at our Thursday practices.
