The Derwood Farmers Market is a partnership between Neighborhood Church and MilkLady Markets. This outdoor, Saturday market is a major way that we show and share Jesus with our neighbors.

We believe that the Church has a mandate to care for the materially poor. At Neighborhood, we take this seriously which is why we love to support and partner with Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless which has a vision "to end homelessness in Montgomery County by building a community where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home."
On a regular basis, Neighborhood packs bagged breakfasts as well as provide a hot, personally served meals for the clients of the Home Builders Care Assessment Center (HBCAC) men's emergency shelter. Shady Grove Pregnancy Center help women and men facing an unplanned pregnancy. They offer free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound and information on all pregnancy options – abortion, parenting and adoption. Neighborhood Church partners with SGPC by sharing information about the services offered, and connecting people in our church with opportunities to volunteer and give.

At Neighborhood Church, we have a deep desire to bless our neighbors and know there are many different ways that we can accomplish this. The Neighborhood Grant has been established to provide help launching individuals and groups to share and show Jesus through relationships in a particular context or neighborhood. Our hope is to help launch micro-expressions of the Kingdom, hospitality, and projects that bring healing and demonstration of the Gospel. This grant has been established to resource and equip you to do just that in the places you live, work and play so that you can build a continued presence and relationship in your context.
