EXAMPLES:
BOOK CLUB: I want to start a monthly online book club in my neighborhood. I would like $_____ to setup a Zoom account for this purpose, and to be able to help with the cost of books for those for whom this is a barrier. I would also like to have 2-3 people from Neighborhood Church participate in the club for the sake of building relationships that can lead to sharing Jesus with my neighbors. WALKING/HIKING GROUP: I want to start a twice a month walking/hiking group with people from my neighborhood. I don't need any money, but I would like to have 2-3 people from Neighborhood Church to participate in the club for the sake of building relationships that can lead to sharing Jesus with my neighbors. TUTORING: I want to offer tutoring to the families in my neighborhood. I have a math background, and am comfortable in those subjects, but if there are others from Neighborhood Church who are strong in other subjects (languages, science, etc.) and willing to help from time to time, I would love to have a small pool of people to contact. ODD JOBS/YARD WORK: I want to offer to help with odd jobs/yard work for the people in my neighborhood. I'm handy with carpentry and can do other unskilled jobs, but if there are others from Neighborhood Church who are strong in other areas (plumbing, electric, automotive) and willing to help from time to time, I would love to have a small pool of people to contact. MOVIE NIGHT: We would like to host an outdoor family friendly movie night on Saturday evenings while the weather is still good. We have a decent projector, but need some money to come up with a screen. We would also love to have a couple of households from Neighborhood Church participate for the sake of building relationships that can lead to sharing Jesus with my neighbors. |
GOAL:
The Neighborhood Grant has been established to provide help launching individuals and groups to share and show Jesus through relationships in a particular context or Neighborhood. Be aware that while there are numerous great ministry projects that can be funded, this fund is specifically to launch people into an ongoing ministry context where they are specifically building relationship to share and show Jesus.
The Neighborhood Grant of Neighborhood Church welcomes proposals from individuals and/or groups. Our desire is to help launch micro-expressions of the Kingdom, Hospitality, and projects that bring healing and demonstration of the Gospel. This grant has been established to resource and equip you to do just that in the places you live, work and play so that you can build a continued presence and relationship in your context.
Funding limits are set at $500 in order to allow as many people as possible to launch Kingdom ideas. If your project is more than this, we invite you to apply and we will prayerfully consider the request.
